Factors Contributing to the Gap Between Listening and Speaking Skills Performance Among University Students Post COVID-19

چکیده

The present study explores the improvement in speaking skill as compared to listening EFL traditional classrooms post COVID-19. In this context, grades of 168 female students at intermediate level department English language, faculty languages and translation, King Khalid University were analyzed. A comparative analysis data both exams was conducted find out gap between skills. gathered then analyzed using SPSS statistical Pearson correlation coefficient determine relationship variables. results indicated that students’ exam are better than their grades. investigations suggest nonlinguistic factors (i.e. anxiety, stress because front class, other psychological fears) significantly affect skill. also requested complete a survey about experiences with sessions face-to-face exams. is descriptive well prescriptive. It describes current situation skills resulting lower ends up suggesting some guidelines help teachers improve overcome fears especially after long period virtual learning examination environment. provides invaluable insights make best possible, data-based recommendations optimize classrooms.
